"[Hollaback Bmore is working to build a network of supportive non-threatening environments within our city. The Baltimore Safer Space Pledge, aligns spaces with this campaign, as well as declaring their commitment to ending harassment against women and LGBTQIA folks. If you experience gender-based harassment or violence while in these spaces (or anywhere with our official Safer Spaces Poster) the staff should take you seriously, deal with the harasser, and offer support resources if you need them.]"
Come join us at the Feed The Scene house and learn how to navigate what goes into running a scene that is safe and respectful from War On Women and Hollaback Bmore's very own Shawna Potter!!! BYOdrinks, light apps will be provided. ANYONE AND EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO ATTEND. Even if you don't «run» a scene. If you are curiouos about the concept, are thinking about becoming more active in a community, or just want to make some rad friends who are all dedicated to making our scenes better, come hang out.
*If we recieve a crazy response, we may have to move to a larger venue, I'll keep you posted.
**Shawna is donating her time and taking off part of her work day to teach us, so we will have a pass the hat to show her we appreciate the effort.
