*This workshop is meant to be intimate, enlightening, challenging and liberating. There is no room for rudeness or fuckery. It is also singularly for Black, Brown and Indigenous folks of color, and primarily for those of us who are queer, low income, or cash-poor.*
The systems we rely on for our food and our health are failing. Or, more accurately, working exactly the way they should; depriving us of access to the basics of food and health care that our people so desperately need. The good news that we don't need those systems. We never have. And hopefully this 4 part workshop will help reteach us some of the ways we can and have taken care of ourselves as PoC, as Black and Indigenous peoples in this country.
Taught by incredible healer Manuka Honey:
Discover the wisdom of Indigenous and Amerindian plant-based healing traditions as you learn to turn your personal garden into magic and medicine. This workshop series will explore story and energy medicine practices as they apply to healing with wild plants. We will also learn how to communicate with plant allies through sowing, growing and harvesting. We will also be creating simple home remedies from weeds such as tinctures, infusions, vinegars, honeys and much more!
This will be a 4 part workshop, Sundays in July from 2-4pm, from the 2nd to the 23rd.
So, if you're interested in doing this with me, you should PM me!!! Not to «apply», per se, but so that we can have a conversation about the intentionality of this excursion, and ensure that all folks involved are able and willing to be active, loving, liberating and copasetic partners in this learning experience! So shoot me a message if you're interested!
