About Yin Yoga and Buddha's Triangle Acupuncture
Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga in which postures, or asanas are held for longer periods of time—for beginners, it may range from 45 seconds to two minutes. Yin yoga was developed to penetrate deep into connective tissue expanding flexibility and aiding healing while stimulating the nadis or meridians to loosen energetic blockages and increase energy flow.
In many cultures, triangles are symbols of balance. Consider even a camera tripod or three-legged table: this configuration remains secure and cannot wobble. So it is for some acupuncture treatments... groups of three points that bring balance to the body and mind, a foundation upon which a new structure can be built. Buddha’s Triangle is the most famous of these, a combination that touches three of the most deeply soulful acupuncture points to balance and restore the body and emotions.
