Join Team BBC for a Baltimore version of the Rapha Women's 100! This yearly event encourages women around the world to ride 100km on the same day in the spirit of building community and overcoming challenges. Our route will be a tad longer at 113km, but there will be beautiful scenery and a coffee/snack stop and maybe even a swimming hole. We've kept the climbing as minimal and spread out as Baltimore County will allow, so while the ride will be tough it shouldn't be a soul crusher.
Pledge to ride on Rapha's site and they'll send you a free roundel i.e., patch. (Seriously, we've gotten several over the years and they're nice!) pages.rapha.cc/womens100
Here is the route! strava.com/routes/9396822
We will head north and east to the start of the NCR trail, ride it for about 13 miles, and then pop out by Pretty Boy Reservoir where we will retrieve any That Dam TT competitors who are crazy enough to want to ride home with us. Then we'll head down by the TNTT route, refuel at Veloccino, wind through prime horse breeding country, and sail mostly downhill back into Baltimore. We will aim for a social pace of 13-15mph, and if there is enough interest we can split into two pace groups.
Please let us know if you plan to attend, and feel free to comment with any questions/concerns/suggestions!
