Join us for a tour of Maryland’s first Net Zero Energy Middle School in Maryland with members of the project team.

Completed in 2017, Wilde Lake Middle School took advantage of the Net Zero Schools Initiative Grant provided by the Maryland Energy Administration to significantly reduce energy consumption and to balance the energy required to run the building by installing solar panels on the school’s roof and site. The Energy Use Index (EUI) of this school design is less than 25 kBTU/sf which is less than half the energy consumed by energy code requirements.
