Yin Yoga is a style of yoga that is very different from what you've probably experienced. While it will release muscular tightness and discomfort, it's geared toward the fascial networks that run through every aspect of your body. It is in our fascia that we tend to hold our tension and traumas. In a Yin practice, you will be fully supported by bolsters, blocks and blankets in poses that are held for 3-4 minutes each.
This class will combine the magic of the Yin practice with the healing art and science of acupuncture. Dr. Keri Jones will join us to provide individualized acupuncture treatments during the Yin Practice. Keri will conduct a brief consultation with each student in order to cultivate the benefits that you need most. Expect a relaxing practice that will help to bring your body back into balance and leave you feeling nourished and at ease.
