Head to Mount Vernon Place and the Washington Monument to kick off the season at the region's longest running holiday tradition with your friends and neighbors. The 46th annual Downtown Partnership of Baltimore Monument Lighting will take place Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 5-8pm. This fun-filled evening is an opportunity for the Conservancy to showcase our work at the recently restored and award-winning Washington Monument in historic, beautiful, and festively decorated Mount Vernon Place! Monument Lighting will feature a holiday village, live performances and a spectacular fireworks display and light show.
Thanks to Downtown Partnership of Baltimore, Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts, and the City of Baltimore for all they do to put on this annual Baltimore tradition.
Because of road closures and the fireworks safety zone, the public is encouraged to enter Mount Vernon Place’s West Square from Cathedral Street, not from the Charles Street area closest to the Monument itself. After 7pm, the only way to enter the event is on Cathedral Street.
