Join us the Sunday 1/14 from 4-7pm for a free workshop on how to increase your mobility and properly use recovery tools! Karyn, Sami and Kyle will be teaching us how to use the variety of different tools to help us recover more efficiently! Foam Rollers, trigger point balls and even rock taping!
This clinic is hands on and great for all variety and levels of athletes!
Please bring your own Yoga Mat and wear appropriate workout attire to participate in this workshop. Karyn and the crew will be demonstrating first hand and instructing all who are willing to participate to use these devices! Feel free to bring in your own Foam roller, trigger point ball or other!
Karyn DuLaney, DPT, CMP, FAFS is a graduate of UMB School of Medicine. She has completed numerous courses and certifications on functional movement, sports rehabilitation, and motion analysis. She has treated orthopedic and sports injuries for ten years. An endurance athlete herself, Karyn enjoys working with athletes in helping them reach their highest athletic potential. She has a special interest in working with hip injuries, foot/ankle injuries, and improving spine mobility.
Orsam “Sami” Ahmed DPT, CES, SFMA-1 is a graduate of Marymount University with a 10+ years of background in Martial Arts and Acrobatics. He has focused his last few years on the training and rehabilitation of athletes with an emphasis on functional movement analysis and return to sport. He currently coaches Gymnastics and Acrobatics at the University of Maryland and as a former martial artist and acrobat enjoys nothing more than getting athletes back to 100% .He has a special interest in treating ankle, knee and shoulder injuries.
Kyle Pearce is a DPT graduate of UMES with a life long background in competitive gymnastics and acrobatics. He participates in a variety of outdoor adventure sports including climbing, cycling, kayaking and backpacking. He has a special interest in treating ankle, knee and wrist injuries.
From Midatlantic Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation, they are excited to share their expertise and are happy to answer any questions during this clinic or at their new office opening this week in Ellicott City.
