This event is open to all humans.
Join Thai Bodywork Practitioner Laura Durbin of Reviving Fire as she leads you in an herbal steam sauna, Stephanie Rhodes, yoga therapist and body/energy worker, will offer mini-bodywork sessions throughout the evening. There will be a tea bar provided by Minna Nilanont of Hemp Kettle Tea Company! Hemp Kettle Tea Company blends herbs, teas, and spices with hemp seeds for health supporting brews.
Come get warm and join your fellow humans for a healing meditative time in the herbal steam sauna. Shed what doesn't serve you, clear your mind, and drink medicinal herbal teas.
Aid your body in fighting off the flu and colds this season with medicinal herbs. Let the herbs elevate your mind. The aromatic medicinal herbs are transformed into the subtle medium of steam, opening up the pores and delivering the therapeutic benefit of the herbs into your entire body. This whole body treatment is deeply relaxing and rejuvenating, resetting your breath and nervous system to its parasympathetic state of «rest and digest.» The sauna combined with the herbs are wonderful for general health, pain relief, cleansing of the skin, soft tissue injuries, detoxification, melting away knots and tension, fatigue, headaches, colds, respiratory complaints, emotional distress, and deep ailment.
We will go into the sauna for 2 rounds of 15 to 20 minutes each. The time inside the sauna will be silent and meditative, as the herbs and steam allow you to breathe deeply and focus on your breath and body.
We will be rotating in and out of the sauna in two different groups. While you are outside the sauna resting, you can stretch, drink tea, meditate, take a nap, or bring a journal and pen to set goals or process anything that arises.
