Part of a multi-year research project into the experiences of the enslaved community at Homewood during the early 19th century, this exhibition, co-curated by students in the University's Museums and Society program, will present more than a dozen displays, each interpreting an aspect of an enslaved individual's daily life. Meet the Ross and Conner families, who lived alongside, but were subjugated by, Homewood's storied Carroll family. Learn from project historian and course lecturer Abby Schreiber how the fates of all three families became inextricably linked, in ways both typical and unexpected.

Refreshments will be served. Students will be stationed by their displays to answer visitor questions.
