Cazbar is proud to take part in Neighborhood Lights & Light City Baltimore.
What does a rabbit, Medusa, cat and raven have in common? The are all part of The Collective, Sean Michael Kenny's take on performance art. Suggested as Clockwork Orange meets Alice in Wonderland, you can find The Collective lingering around his light installations.
Sean Michael Kenny’s Collective is a physical manifest of “Collective unconscious”, term introduced by psychiatrist Carl Jung to represent a form of the unconscious. Specifically, the part of the mind containing memories and impulses.
The Collective characters represents a few of the various personalities one may encounter in life, either personally or in others. Faceless and androgynous, they are masked with these personalities. The underlying idea is that once the masks are removed, there is nothing there to fuel the personality. In the end, we are all the same without our masks.
The Collective will be at the Inner Harbor and Bromo Tower. We will also have special shows at Cazbar featuring Samira Shuruk during the times listed above. Reservations recommended. cazbar.pro/reservations
